We prefer UNIX systems for several reasons:
- The underlying conception in Unix of small programs that can cooperate together is more appropriate to use the described method
- The storing of data and configuration files in readable formats can make things easier
- We can easily access tools such us compilers, hexadecimal editors, compressors, images processors etc
- The internal organization of the structure of the disk is better
- The results can be processed with very powerful tools (such as LATEX))
- The cost of the system can be substantially low
But although we strongly recommend the use of Linux, there can be powerful reasons to use Windows systems (from accessibility to impossibility of running the application under UNIX). So our discussion is going to include some notes about Windows systems.
